Meet the Trustees
Overall responsibility for the direction and governance of the Trust’s activities sits with the Trustees: Oliver Broadbent, Alan Heeks, Amrita Bhohi, Jo Clark, Jake Farr, John Kingston and Frances Wood. Trustees all have a strong connection with Hazel Hill Wood, and a breadth of skills and experience. Brief profiles are given below, including date of appointment as a Trustee.
Oliver Broadbent, Chair of Trustees (May 2020, Trustee since 2019): has a range of management, education and consultancy experience, mainly in the engineering design sector. Involved with Hazel Hill since 2010.
Alan Heeks (2015): Successful business management career, and 25 years’ involvement with nature-based learning as a trustee, trainer and writer.
Jake Farr (2015): Works at senior levels as an organisational coach and consultant. Is also a client at the wood, bringing family groups from London.
Frances Wood (2015): An expert in monitoring and evaluation, working for Department of International Development. Involved with the wood since 2002.
John Kingston OBE (2016): Over 25 years as a Senior manager and/or trustee with large and small charities.
Jo Clark (2017): Has worked as a Steiner teacher, and for 9 years was a manager at Embercombe, responsible for forestry, conservation, and action learning.
Amrita Bhohi (2019): Amrita has wide-ranging experience as a workshop leader, speaker and writer in environmental peacemaking, spiritual ecology, new economics and young leadership. She has played a key role at St Ethelburga’s including launching their young leaders programmes.
