Woodcraft for Wellbeing – Festive Willow Weaving

Thursday 11th December 2025 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Join Polly for some creativity with a festive twist, and a mindful moment in the sometimes hectic run-up to the Christmas holidays. You’ll create sustainable willow decorations to take home.

Standard tickets start at £32 with discounted tickets available for £16. Plus, you can choose to “pay it forward” for someone else! Includes snacks, warm drinks and all decorations are yours to take home.

This is the second of Polly’s Woodcraft for Wellbeing Workshops in Hazel Hill Wood, following a successful first workshop (a mindful fungi-finding adventure and then whittling a mushroom to take home).

Learn willow weaving and take home your creations!

We will start by taking a wander through the wonderful ancient woodland at Hazel Hill Wood to collect firewood for our campfire and take some mindful moments in nature. After a hot drink and a mince pie, we will get started on weaving decorations – you can choose to make a reindeer, a star or a wreath (or more than one, depending on how the time goes!).

These workshops are designed to support the wellbeing of adults by connecting them with nature and giving them the opportunity to learn a new skill or craft.

We offer a welcoming, non-judgmental, supportive, neuro-affirming environment. The activity will be combined with exploring a wellbeing strategy, such as a breathing or relaxation exercise. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided. No previous experience is necessary. All activities are optional, so if on the day you’d rather be relaxing in a hammock with a blanket than doing the planned activity, that’s ok!

Tell us what other decorations and festive creations you would like to make in the wood when you book!
