Autumn term Creative Sticks Parent & Toddler Forest School

Trying out Hapa Zome!

Friday mornings from 6th September to 10th October.

Polly’s wildly popular Forest School is back for the Autumn term! Creative Sticks in partnership with Hazel Hill Wood.

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for running Forest School this term. Rupert has absolutely loved it.”

We’ll welcome children (two to five years old) back to the wood with their parent or other adult to try out the mud kitchen, mess around in the leaves, play woodland games and make all sorts of nature-inspired arts and crafts.

So far, we’ve made many fun things to take home and keep, from wooden helicopters to butterflies to dens (those are a bit big to take home). We’ve toasted marshmallows, hunted for bugs and wriggly worms, and spent a lot of time on the rope swing!

Session dates:

Fri 6th September to Fri 10th October.

These Forest School sessions will:

  • Give parents/guardians and toddlers alike the chance to interact, share and socialise, with an optional picnic in the wood
  • Give small children the opportunity to learn new skills and learn about nature through play
  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Give everybody who comes a chance to connect to nature, experience the seasons, and help support your wellbeing.

While the majority of activities will be focused on the children’s interests, the sessions will also incorporate mini-activities for the grown-ups to connect them with nature and support their mental health.

Sessions are for confident walkers to 5-year-olds, accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cost :

Prices start from £10 a session with a 15% discount for block bookings and a ‘pay it forward’ system in place for anyone who would like to support another family.
