Friday mornings in May (2nd – 23rd) in partnership with Hazel Hill Wood
Spend time having fun in the woods with your little one, plus support your wellbeing in the beautiful Hazel Hill wood. We’ll be going on bug hunts, playing in a mud kitchen, making natural crafts, toasting bread on a campfire, plus much more!
Forest School allows children to learn and develop through playing regularly in the woods.
These Forest School sessions will:
- Support your child’s development – physically, socially and emotionally
- Build their confidence and resilience
- Give them the opportunity to learn new skills and learn about nature through play
- Connect you both with nature and help support your wellbeing
While the majority of activities will be focused on the children’s interests, the sessions will also incorporate mini-activities for the grown-ups to connect them with nature and support their mental health.
Sessions are for confident walkers to 5-year-olds, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
When:
Friday mornings from 2nd to 23rd May 2025, 10.15 am – 12 noon.
The cost for the block of 4 sessions in May is:
- Standard price: £40
- Supporter price: £48 (for those who are happy to pay a little more to subsidise a place for those who can’t afford to pay the standard price)*
- Discounted price: £30 (for those who paying the full cost would currently prevent them from attending)
- Second child: £30 (if you are bringing more than one participating child, the cost for the second child is £30).
There is no charge for younger siblings in buggies/baby carriers.
Childminders – please get in touch if you wish to discuss bringing more than two children: creativesticks@outlook.com
*The idea behind ‘pay it forward’ systems like this is to do acts of kindness which will have a positive effect on others, and in return the recipients are just asked to pass on the good deed to keep the cycle going.
