Hazel Hill Wood is a 70-acre woodland between Farley and East Grimstead, around seven miles from Salisbury.
We encourage everyone visiting the wood to travel as lightly as they can. If you can, come by foot, bike or public transport; if you need to drive, please consider sharing your journey with others (See lift sharing below).

The entrance is on Grimstead Road, between Farley and East Grimstead.
Please note: Hazel Hill Wood is NOT accessed via Pitchers Farm or Lyvers Farm. Some satnavs and online maps may try to take you this way.
Look out for a green sign with yellow writing at the entrance to the wood.
Once you arrive, please follow the signs and instructions for parking. Vehicle access within the wood is kept to a minimum.
Train or coach
The main transport hub for Hazel Hill Wood is Salisbury, which has rail and coach connections to many parts of the country.
From Salisbury, you can continue your journey by bus, taxi or bike.
If several people attending the same event are arriving at Salisbury at a similar time, we encourage you to share a taxi for the final seven miles.

A taxi from Salisbury to Hazel Hill Wood is around seven miles.

They should charge a fixed fare of around £20, or £25 on Sundays. We recommend booking in advance and confirming the fare when you book.
When booking, make clear that you are going to Hazel Hill Wood on Grimstead Road between Farley and East Grimstead, rather than simply giving the postcode.
Sharing a taxi with other participants is a good way to reduce both the cost and the number of vehicle journeys.
Bus from Salisbury
The No. 37 Salisbury Reds service runs between Salisbury and Farley from Monday to Saturday.
On request, the bus can set you down at the gate to Hazel Hill Wood on Grimstead Road, between East Grimstead and Farley.
Please check the current timetable before travelling, particularly if you are arriving later in the day.
Cycling
Hazel Hill Wood is a short distance from National Cycle Network Route 24, which provides a route from Salisbury largely avoiding main roads.
There is space to leave bikes at the wood. If you’re staying overnight, remember that the final part of your journey is rural and it will be dark in the evenings, so please bring suitable lights.
Walking
If you have time, arriving on foot is a lovely way to begin your stay at Hazel Hill.
Dean railway station is approximately three miles from the wood, with a route along footpaths across rolling farmland.
Please come prepared for a rural walk: paths may be muddy or uneven, particularly after wet weather, and you may be carrying everything you need for your stay.
Lift-sharing
For many of our residential events we set up a lift-sharing sheet so that participants can offer spare seats or find someone travelling from the same area.
If you’ve been sent a lift-sharing link with your joining instructions, please use it – even if you are driving and only have one spare seat.
You could also arrange to meet someone at Salisbury or another convenient point and travel the final part of the journey together.
Driving
If you do need to drive, please consider whether you can offer a lift to someone else coming to the same event.
Use SP5 1AU for navigation, but please be aware that satnav directions can be misleading as you approach the wood.
Do not follow directions through Pitchers Farm or Lyvers Farm.
Stay on the public road between Farley and East Grimstead and look out for the green Hazel Hill Wood sign with yellow writing on Grimstead Road.
When you arrive, please unload as needed and then move your vehicle to the designated car park. Keeping vehicles out of the main part of the wood helps us maintain the peaceful character of the site and keeps access routes clear.
