Autumn block: 10th October to 14th November 2022
Seasonal six week blocks throughout the year, facilitated by Charley Miller, our Education and Conservation Coordinator, we currently run group sessions on Monday mornings 9:30am-12:30pm.
Started in Autumn 2021, we began offering these sessions to home educated children and their parents/care givers to learn about nature, the environment and how to look after it.
Examples of topics covered; habitats, birds, small mammals, mini-beasts, the seasons, plants, trees, life cycles..
Each seasonal block costs £60 per child (£10 per session), and payment is required in advance.

Update:
Thank you to those who attended home education sessions at Hazel Hill Wood over Aug 2021 – Aug 2022 and supported our charity. This all happened because Rose came up with the idea, and has facilitated or co-facilitated every single one of our 26 sessions! (4 x 6 week blocks plus 2 tasters.) I’m sorry to say we are not going to be able to run a 6 week block this autumn due to limited staff capacity. Our staff team at the wood are currently pretty stretched with wide-ranging responsibilities. The home education group is something we want to continue, and hope to start up again with a winter 6 week block in Jan-Feb.
